  5.     I hope you don't think you will be able to set up and run FRONTDOOR
  6.   RBBS-PC - MSGTOSS - and all the assorted utilities you will need with
  7.   these files...  If you don't plan on spending many hours reading the
  8.   MSGTOSS and RBBS-PC manuals and the manuals that come with many of the
  9.   assorted utilities that will be neccessary for you to accomplish running
  10.   a BBS, Frontend Mailer, etc...  If you do then you might as well delete
  11.   these help files right now and be done with it because you will surely
  12.   fail.  Most of the knowlege you will need just to keep the Mailer
  13.   Tosser / BBS etc.. running after it is installed is in the docs and
  14.   believe me when I tell you..  You better Print them, put them in 3 ring
  15.   binders with TABS for quick reference because you will be needing them.

  17.       This set of help files is to help make your BBS experience less
  18.   stressful and more enjoyable.  They do not in any way replace the
  19.   docs but rather supplement them and hopefully add a little continuity.

  21.       The first thing you will need is an operating version of RBBS-PC
  22.   This is not an extremely difficult thing.  RBBS unpacks itself and has
  23.   excellent DOC's.  Just follow the directions and do a little reading.

  25.       The second thing you will need to do is Install Frontdoor ver2.02/NC
  26.   read the dirstrct.txt file and make sure you have all the neccessary
  27.   directories created.  The Frontdoor program will not run without them
  28.  
  29.       Put the basic FDB.BAT file together and rem out all the TOSSER and
  30.   other unessecary utils for the time being.  Make sure the SET STATEMENTS
  31.   are in your AUTOEXEC.BAT and also all directories that need to be pathed.

  33.       You will need to learn or get help setting your modem for Frontdoor.
  34.   You may find this to be the most difficult task as Frontdoor will fail
  35.   to initialize the modem right from the start.  Go to the modem section of
  36.   the Frontdoor manual and READ... I can't cover all the different modems
  37.   and my knowlege on modems is sketchy  I had to get help with this part
  38.   and you may very well need to also.
